A rescued elephant who loves to have lullabies sung to her wanted to make sure that a newly arrived baby elephant to Elephant Nature Park also got sung to.
Lek Chailert, founder of the Elephant Nature Park, was meeting with visitors to the Thai elephant sanctuary, when Faa Mai suddenly intruded on their talk and began to push Lek out into the field, directing me somewhere. Lek wondered what it was that she really wanted.
“Finally Faa Mai took me to see the little Thong Ae, whom she wants to adopt as her own.” It seems that Faa Mai wanted her to sing a lullaby to her little friend, “as she is so fond [of it] when I sing a lullaby to her.”
“It is so beautiful to see my little girl, who has such a caring heart. I am so proud of this girl!”
