The Humane Society of the United States arrived at a property in Adams County, Ohio and rescued 166 animals there. Many of the dogs at the squalid home had been left to scavenge their meals from rotting deer carcasses and were chained outdoors. One of them was a friendly chocolate Labrador retriever, who greeted the rescuers with a wagging tail.
HSUS would later learn his name is Chuckie and he had a family in Indiana who had been missing him for more than five years.
Needless to say, the organization arranged for Chuckie to be reunited with his family and filmed the extremely happy event!
