There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when a dog who had been missing for several months was reunited with his mom. Chip visited Charleston two months ago with his mom. But while he was being walked by a friend, Chip got off his leash and ran away. His mom and friends spent several frantic days looking for him, but she had to return home to Myrtle Beach. Mom never stopped looking for him, coordinating as best she could with friends in Charleston.
As luck would have it, a Good Samaritan found Chip and brought him to Veterinary Specialty Care – SC, the same ER that has been taking care of Caitlyn the dog!
Poor Chip was “very thin and suffering from low blood sugar but his spirit and his love of people made everyone believe he had a loving home somewhere,” Veterinary Specialty Care wrote. They said that even Caitlyn moved over in her bed to make room for Chip to lay down. “She knew he needed some love and support and she is a super strong girl to offer it,” they said.
The Good Samaritan posted an ad on Craigslist and a friend of Chip’s mom told her Chip had been found. It was the miracle she had been hoping for. So when Chip’s mom saw him for the first time in two months – needless to say there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. The vet staff very considerately pass around the tissue box when Chip and his mom finally embrace!
