Vacationers were hurrying home from their holidays and no one took any notice of a mother dog and her daughter clinging to life on the side of a highway. That was until Marti and Tsetso noticed them.

The kind-hearted strangers noticed the dogs on the roadway in Bulgaria and stopped to help them.

They put the two dogs into the back of their car and the two dogs clung to each other for the entire ride.

The mom was clearly in ill health and starving.

Both dogs looked like they had some kind of skin infection and were seriously underweight.

The kind-hearted strangers took the two dogs to Animal Friends Foundation in Bourgas, Bulgaria to be looked after.

They named the mother Siberia.

And her puppy was named Alaska.

The dogs were diagnosed with Ehrlichiosis and Sarcoptosis (a form of scabies).

With the proper diet and medications Siberia began to look like a husky again!

Alaska also made an amazing recovery!

After regaining her health Alaska howled with happiness.

And her mom enjoys relaxing with her favorite chew toy.

Their lives are a far cry from the ones they had when they were found. And thanks to their rescuers both dogs have found loving forever homes.
