Tom Sitter, 93, won The Moths open-mic storytelling competition and had the audience laughing as he recounted the tale of Valentines being handed out in his class when he was a young boy.
The memory of the girls he carefully selected to give his five Valentines to in 1933 was strong enough that 84 years later he still knew their names. The WWII veteran and Wisconsin native captured the crowd’s attention and the competition with his tale.
