A dog so weak he could not stand up was spotted by a man and his son on the side of the road. Fortunately, they stopped and brought the dog to One Tail At A Time Rescue in Chicago, Illinois.
Sugar Snap spent three weeks in the ER at Premier Veterinary Group fighting for his life. Slowly but surely, Sugar Snap got enough energy to stand on his legs. One of his doctors, Dr. Becky Richie decided to take him home and foster him. Everyone at the hospital loved him and was rooting for him to recover.
Sugar Snap had a long recovery, but thanks to Dr. Richie’s senior dog Fitz, who was very patient with him, Sugar Snap learned how to potty outside, how to play and he came out of his shell. And with every success, Sugar Snap’s foster family fell more in love with him until they just had to adopt him!
