A horse named Big Joe was in serious trouble after getting stuck in a hole. The draft cross was donated a few years ago to the Idaho Horseshoeing School. The school explained, “A few days ago, Joe fell into a deep hole in a pasture while checking cows. The hole was caused by a leaky water mainline and was just big enough for Joe to wedge his whole body in.”
Thankfully, Don Mickelsen, the owner of Rocking M Quarter Horses, who now takes care of Joe, came to the rescue. Using a backhoe, he and his team carefully scooped out the mud that was trapping Big Joe and freed him.
Idaho Horseshoeing School added, “Thanks to the quick thinking of Don Mickelsen, they saved him, and he is making a full recovery.”
