Dr. Matt from Vet Ranch drove a couple of hours to pick Ginger up from the pound to keep her from being euthanized. “We have an overpopulation problem in my area, so any dogs with ailments are the first to be put down at the pound, and Ginger had a baseball sized tumor on the bottom of her foot,” he explains.
Taking her back to the clinic, he examined her foot. The tumor was so big that it had taken over her paw pad and she had difficulty walking. Dr. Matt was not sure if he could remove the tumor completely, but he sutured it up and hoped for the best.
A few weeks later, and Ginger is walking and wagging her tail! In more good news, the growth was tested and turned out not to be malignant and therefore won’t be growing back! Ginger is now up for a adoption and hopefully will find her forever home soon!
