I’ve always wanted to witness the Northern Lights in person, but like most people I’m not far enough north to see nature’s most spectacular light show. But this filmmaker not only captured the aurora borealis as it hasn’t appeared in over 10 years, he also filmed something extra special.
Apparently, the Northern Lights are measured on an index of 0 to 9 KP for activity strength, and in March of 2015 it reached 9KP, the strongest it’s been in a decade!
As you’ll see in the video, the night sky is ablaze with the Northern Lights, and towards the end, a beautiful shooting star streaks through the aurora making the experience even more beautiful!
Share this rare spectacle with your family and friends!
