On the Adriatic Sea’s edge in Zadar, Croatia, visitors can hear music created by the waves themselves. The Sea Organ (or Morske orgulje in Croatian) is an experimental musical instrument which plays music by way of sea waves and polyethylene tubes located underneath a set of large marble steps.
The waves create random but harmonic sounds. I’ve never heard anything like it! The Sea Organ was designed by the architect Nikola Bašić and opened to the public in 2005. It’s now a popular draw for residents and tourists alike.
Share this unusual and fascinating “instrument” with your family and friends.
