A tourist gave a thirsty squirrel a drink after it asked for help. Paul Camps from Gloucester, England, was visiting the Grand Canyon in Arizona when he noticed the squirrel behaving oddly.
“The squirrel began to follow me and put its arms up to me like it wanted picking up, I passed my water bottle to my girlfriend so I could take a picture on my phone, as I did the squirrel began to put its arms up towards my girlfriend”, Paul explained to Storyful.
He and his girlfriend realized that the squirrel was thirsty and wanted a drink. Paul held out the open bottle of water that he had along and the squirrel drank from it until the bottle was empty, holding the bottle steady in his little paws.
The poor animal must have been disoriented from dehydration but luckily knew these humans might be able to help him. After the parched squirrel was done drinking, Paul joked, “Needless to say we didn’t drink from the same bottle.”
