Joe Reinhart is a bartender whose fast thinking helped save a young co-worker’s life.
Joe posted the security footage to TikTok showing him walking into the restaurant’s kitchen just as an employee was choking on a large piece of a chicken sandwich. He immediately tries to dislodge the food from the teen’s throat, grabbing the boy around the chest and lifting him up.
It turns out the woman in the video is the boy’s mother who must have been incredibly frightened having to watch her son choking. The other woman in the video is calling 911 as Joe is saving him.

Thankfully Joe was successful in dislodging the food from the boy’s throat. Joe later said he knows he didn’t properly execute the Heimlich, but ultimately his quick response worked and helped in the emergency situation.
Joe later posted a follow up to the now viral video to thank viewers and to reassure everyone that the kid is doing fine and he’s still working at the restaurant.
