While performing at Sibelius Hall in Finland, Soprano Sirkka Lampimäki gave the audience an unexpected surprise during her performance.
She is singing Adele’s Laughing Song from Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss II with the Lahti Symphony Orchestra on stage. Holding long gloves in her hands as she glides across the stage as she continues to sing.
Then she drapes the gloves near the conductor Ralf Kircher’s podium. She then takes off her silk scarf. What’s going on? At this point, it’s clear she’s building up to something but what? And as she nears the end of the song, her surprise is revealed. Take a look at 0:50 to see what she does and enjoy the music along the way.
What fun!
