Sometimes it is our daily routines that brings us the most joy. For Maisy the Golden Retriever and retiree Richard, that means greeting each other every morning on the street.
Maisy’s dad Mas, Tiktokker @mspeelhmb, is sharing videos of their heartwarming routine. Mas writes, “Richard walks from the retirement community around my block and my dog loves him. Here they are saying hello to each other this morning.”
@mspeelhmbRichard walks from the retirement community around my block and my dog loves him. Here they are saying hello to each other this morning.
The sweet old dog gets up from the grass and begins wagging her tail faster and faster the closer Richard gets. She also lets out a sweet howl to greet him. And Richard, who is pushing a stroller, beams with a big smile on his face as he gets closer to his canine friend.

Maisy also likes to bring Richard a leaf as a gift when she sees him.
@mspeelhmbThis morning, Maisy brought Richard a leaf as a gift. I love that girl.
Picking up the leaf gift isn’t a one time thing either, it’s something she looks forward to doing.
@mspeelhmbjust this morning! 💜💜💜
In return, Richard gives Maisy some cuddles and pets.
People on social media are falling in love with the pair’s special friendship. One viewer wrote of the videos, “These make my whole morning. So pure!”

Another person noted, “Not to mention it’s great for the dog too. Dogs love routines and a daily walking human is a good one to have to keep track of their day.”
It’s a wonderful routine for all those involved. For Maisy’s dad, he simply says, “I love this dog more than words can say.”
