Giant Rabbit Becomes Doting Mother To Orphan Lambs

When lambs at Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre in Scotland are rejected by their mothers there are two main things they need – warmth and a mother figure. Staff at the farm provide the lambs sweaters so they won’t get too cold. As for the mother figure? That’s where Milly comes in. She’s a giant rabbit that lives at the Centre too.

Milly also needed attention and a purpose because she did not have the company a rabbit needs to be healthy.

Maxine, who runs the farm, stumbled across the idea of introducing Milly to the orphaned lambs and she is very happy she did.

The orphaned lambs take to Milly right away and their constant affection has transformed Milly from a lonely rabbit to a doting mother.
