It’s not often that I see sculptures that are mind-blowing, but these 3D kinetic works by artist Anthony Howe are absolutely breathtaking! Anthony works with metal and computers to create works of art that move in the wind. They pulse and move in a mesmerizing way that draws your eye in. They’re also very intricately constructed.
As Anthony explains in the video below, computers are absolutely necessary for his creation process because there are so many parts that interact in a three-dimensional space.
His inspiration often arises from making seemingly awkward and ugly shapes into something elegant. Take a personal tour of Anthony’s workshop on Orcas Island, Washington, as he explains his creative process and shows off some of his amazing, moving sculptures!
