A group of bikers is making it their mission to come to the rescue of kids who need help badly. Bikers Against Child Abuse International (BACA) help children who have been sexually and physically abused by making the children feel safe.
The group of volunteers provide 24/7 support for the child, which means the kid can call them day or night. They will also escort them to court, to school and to therapy. They will also play Barbies and let the kids paint butterflies on their faces! But most of all, the bikers welcome the children into their family, so that the child knows they never have to feel alone and afraid.
In this video from Crime Watch Daily, the BACA crew in Los Angeles are filmed as they meet with their newest member – Mika. Mika reached out to BACA after he was abused by a relative. Mika says the group has helped him through some very difficult times and his abuser is now behind bars. Mika’s parents say that BACA has been a lifeline for them all.
Their support also empowers the children to face their perpetrators. The bikers will come into the courtroom 20, 30, 40 at a time to support the child while he/she testifies. “The kid looks at us, concentrates on us knows we’re there for them,” says one of the BACA team.
What a fine group of human beings!
Share the fantastic, much-needed work they do with your family and friends.
