It doesn’t matter what age you are, playing with bubbles is always fun! Here’s a recipe for making your own so you never need to buy some at the store. All you need to make the bubble mix is dish soap, baking powder and guar gum. The guar is the secret ingredient that gives the bubbles their elasticity.
Brooke from What’s Up Mom’s also shows how to make your own bubble wand to make giant bubbles!
To make the mix and wand you’ll need the following supplies:
– Dawn Liquid Dish Soap 8oz
– Guar Gum 1Tbsp
– Baking Powder 1Tbsp
– Water 16 cups
– Cotton String or Rope
– 2 Sticks
– Washer
The bubble solution will last for a couple weeks if you keep it covered and you can make any amount of the solution as long as the water to soap ratio is 16:1. Brooke used a @ 85″ of string to make her bubbles, but the string can be made longer for even bigger bubbles.
This looks like a great DIY project for the summer!
