The Canadian Tenors are a popular vocal quartet, much along the lines of the other great tenor groups in the world. The singers also are huge fans of fellow Canadian Céline Dion. So back in 2010 when they were guests on Oprah Winfrey, she arranged a very special surprise for the group. As the four men sing Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” to the audience, Dion sneaks up behind them (she steps on stage at 3:19).
The quartet wasn’t sure what was going on at first but when they realized their idol was on stage with them, it took all their professionalism to get over their shock and keep on performing. I particularly loved the expression on the guitarist’s face when he recognized Dion!
