Pocket was rescued from a dog meat farm in South Korea and and flown to the United States to begin a new life. He had never seen the sunshine, never chewed a stick, never walked or seen grass, never had a bowl of water…until now.
He, and 100 other dogs, were rescued from the farm by Humane Society International (HSI) after the farmer closed it down.
Having only known a metal cage his entire life, Pocket was about to have his world open up before him.
It was frightening for him at first. But despite his terrible early life, Pocket is slowly learning to love life!
In the video below, Pocket walks on grass for the very first time. Tentative at first, he hunches over and goes exploring, but he is reassured by his new family.
And in this heartwarming video, only 2 days at his new home, Pocket hangs out with his new buddy and chews a stick! Another first, for this sweet rescued dog.
All dogs should be able to enjoy the outdoors and have companionship! Share Pocket’s rescue story with the dog lovers in your family!
