Scooby, a 4-year-old black Labrador Retriever mix, is Mary’s Dogs Rescue’s longest resident and has been waiting nearly a year to find a home. Recently, the New Hampshire-based dog rescue decided to take Scooby on a few holiday adventures so he could enjoy the festive season.
Scooby got dressed up in his holiday finery and excitedly looked out the window as they drove through a special Christmas light display. With his head sticking out of the window, he was all smiles.
@marys.dogs.rescue If you have been following our page, you might recognize this special boy! Scooby has been waiting for his forever family to find him for too long. We took him on an outing tonight to see the Christmas lights. He previously asked Santa for a forever family for Christmas. Will you help us find them for this boy who has the biggest heart? #marysdogs #betheheroinadogslife #foreverhome #rescuedogs #marysdogsrescue2011 #rescuedog #marysdogsnh #dogchristmas #adoptabledog@Cooper Alan ♬ original sound – Cooper Alan
In addition to seeing the holiday lights, Scooby also got to meet Santa. Once again, Scooby was all grins.
@marys.dogs.rescue This is your sign to take a local adoptable rescue dog to go see Santa! Scooby loved Santa! #marysdogs #rescue #marysdogsrescue #adoptabledogs #marysdogsrescue #santa #dogshelter #dog #puppy #christmas ♬ A Winter Village – Mark Fabian & Alexander Smith
Scooby was so happy to meet Santa and was on his best behavior. Mary’s Dogs Rescue describes Scooby as a dog with “the biggest heart” and hopes that a family will open their hearts and home to him.
On Scooby’s adoption listing “Scooby” says, “You see, I’ve been on some amazing adventures with my pals lately, but what I really dream of is finding a family to go on even more trips and walks with. I thrive on love and companionship, and I hope to find a household with a quiet, predictable routine where my people are around most of the day. A cozy spot to call my own within the home would be paw-some, especially one that starts small and grows as I get more comfortable.”
Here’s hoping Scooby finds a loving family for the holidays. To find out more about Scooby and Mary’s Dogs visit their website.
