Based on a true story, “My Beautiful Woman” is a short film from Thailand that shows a hard-working woman, dedicated to her job. She is the first to arrive and the last to leave and driven to do the best job possible, which has distanced her from her co-workers.
What they do know is that because of her sacrifice of time and effort, she has been granted every Friday off. No one knows where she goes or what she does, but they have gossiped about her.
Her boss doesn’t ask questions but is curious to find out why she doesn’t show up to work one day and decides to find out what has happened. Although he intrudes on her privacy, when he learns what her problems are, he finds a way to help her.
If anything, the story shows that we don’t always have to “go it alone” and that it is sometimes important to share what is going on in our lives.
