There’s nothing better than cooling off with a sprinkler, as horses Stormy and Hershey discovered on a particularly warm day at Duchess Sanctuary. They two horses are especially fond of water…they’ve even been busted several times for climbing into the water troughs! Their mothers are former PMU (Pregnant Mare Urine) mares rescued from slaughter.
Stormy, Hershey and their moms live on a sprawling ranch in Oregon where rescued horses from all over the country come to live. Watch as the two horses goof around with the water, taking turns spraying their chests and giving themselves face washes!

The sprinkler isn’t the only way the horses at Duchess Sanctuary cool off. Sometimes they take an enjoyable dip in the pond!
