We’ve heard of cats stuck in trees but a Husky stuck on a ledge inside a house? The Tempe Fire Department responded to an unusual call to help rescue Milo, a dog who got himself stuck and couldn’t get down.
The Tempe Fire Department arrived to find the Husky hanging out on a ledge above the front door. They wrote on Facebook, “Engine 277 received an unusual call to rescue a pup named Milo after his family discovered him stranded on a ledge this morning.”
But how on earth did Milo climb up?
The firefighters explained, “To get to that area, Milo crossed a 40-foot-long and 6-inch-wide crown molding shelf!” Milo’s dexterity goes a long way to demonstrating why Huskies are considered extremely adept at perching in unusual places. They also sometimes get stuck, likeSebastien the Husky who got himself stuck in a storm drain or another husky that got stuck in the couch.
But back to Milo. Engineer Nolan volunteered to get Milo down and “was up to the task of carrying the large dog back down to be reunited with his family.”
And after climbing up and carefully lifting Milo down, the firefighters gave Milo some pets and went on their way. They expressed one wish, however, writing, “Hope Milo learned his lesson – don’t climb up if you can’t climb back down safely!”
