An Irish Wolfhound was joyfully reunited with his Nashville family four days after fleeing their vehicle following a car crash. When he recognized his mom had arrived to take him home, he couldn’t hold back his emotions.
Fergus, a 4-year-old, 200-pound dog, went missing after the McKays’ car was rear-ended at an intersection, causing all their windows to shatter. Limping and frightened, Fergus ran off. With temperatures dropping, the McKays grew increasingly worried about their gentle giant, whom they had raised since he was just two months old. They turned to social media and news outlets for help, and the community quickly came together, determined to find Fergus.
Fortunately, four days after he disappeared, Fergus was found. His emotional reunion with his mom was heartwarming, as Fergus let out a series of howls while she embraced him—a truly moving moment for everyone involved in his rescue.
