Collecting chicken eggs by day, singing for Robbie Williams by night – it’s all in a day’s work for Jackie as she sings Cilla Black’s You’re My World.
When Jacqueline Faye took the stage no one knew what to expect of the humble 53 year old who lives on a farm with chickens, ducks, horses and Dave the peacock. The farmer from Oxfordshire, England describes a day filled with taking care of domestic animals with her loving husband.
But when she starts to sing, the audience and judges know exactly why she’s on the X-Factor stage. She sings with confidence and ease and has a voice that is something truly special.
By the end of Jacqueline’s performance, everyone was on their feet applauding.
The judges just fell in love with them. Robbie Williams told her “there’s something really special about you.”
“As you walked out I’m kind of thinking to myself [that] maybe you’ve walked on to the wrong show by mistake. And I’m thinking this isn’t going to be great…and then you were,” said Simon.
Louis Tomlinson said, “For me, stories like this – this is exactly what this show should be all about – someone your age standing up there and having a real moment like that.”
