K9 German Shorthaired Pointer Excited To Meet Sea Otters

Even though K9 Buda works for the Coast Guard, he doesn’t usually run into sea otters. However, he encountered them during his visit to the Otter exhibit at the aquarium. K9 Buda works with the United States Coast Guard’s Explosive Detection Department in San Diego, California. He works at a lot of different public facilities but this lighthearted moment gives Buda and the otters a new experience. As Buda approaches the otters his little tail wags furiously. He’s so curious to see the equally curious otters.

The animals sniff and stare and run back and forth in their adorable meet and greet. “Land dog meets sea dog,” the video’s caption noted. It’s so sweet to see K9 Buda taking a break from his hard work to meet some new friends.

One viewer wrote, “This is adorable and goes to show even working dogs like to have time off and meet friends!”

Another viewer joked, “Buda you are otterly adorable.”

When K9 isn’t sniffing “sea dogs” he trains hard. That includes learning how to jump out of helicopters onto boats!

He also helps keep stadiums and public venues safe. Carry on, K9 Buda!
