When it comes to performing “The Star-Spangled Banner”, Americans want someone who can do the patriotic song justice, especially on the Fourth of July.
11-year-old Lexi Walker became a much-sought after young singer after she performed the song at a soccer game, and her performance went viral.
Shortly after, when it came time to choose who would sing the national anthem at Brigham Young University’s annual Independence Day “Stadium of Fire” celebration a few years ago, the organizers called Lexi.
The resulting performance below is a stand-out. With a choir of a hundred behind her, Lexi sang her heart out. Watch her stirring performance below!
