When The Little Singers of Armenia stepped on stage, the audience knew the girls choir was good, they just didn’t know they were in for such a special treat!
The group has won a slew of awards in their homeland and throughout the European Union, and their skill was out in full force for this beautiful performance of a well-known classic.
The 59 member choir (ranging in age from 11 to 18), are singing Edelweiss from The Sound of Music. The well-known tune lends itself perfectly to their pure, clear voices.
“I don’t know if you sing like angels or if you are angels … it was magical,” one person commented after listening.
“This rendition is surreal; at such slow tempo with unbelievable precision of dynamic control, one could only imagine the incredible training behind the scene. I have a feeling that at least 50% of the singers have perfect pitch…Arguably the best children’s choir in the world, on par with Vienna Boys’ Choir,” says another.
Listen for yourself to their beautiful performance.
