When this motorcyclist was waiting at a busy intersection, she noticed what she thought was a leaf blowing in the intersection. But then she realized it was a kitten and she couldn’t stop shaking! She had to watch as cars and trucks zipped within inches of the cat, praying it would not be hit.
Luckily, others noticed too, and she was able to get to the tiny animal in the middle of the road and she was assisted by a woman watching from the sidewalk. “Thank you to the mystery lady that helped and all the people that paid attention and stopped, it was very appreciated,” the motorcyclist writes. “Kitten turned out to be a he, and is resting safely now.”
The Good Samaritan took the kitten home and named him “Skidmark”. She also tried to contact the person in the red car (the vehicle that the kitten appeared to fall out of), but she was unavailable and has not yet returned her call. The Good Samaritan wanted to find out if Skids is hers, or to make sure the driver knows that “strays are chilling in her undercarriage”.
She also posted up a video of Skidmark at home and says she’s planning on keeping him for now. He was taken to the vet after the incident and is doing well. “Just a little ringworm, but he’s a trooper!”
What a heart-pounding rescue! Thank goodness Skids wasn’t hit by one of those cars! Share this kitten rescue with your family and friends!
