Talk about being in the right place at the right time! Charlie Head was out paddle boarding in Herne Bay off the Kent coast in England when he was surprised to see a puppy stranded on a rock several hundred feet from shore and surrounded by the sea.
The tide was coming in and the frightened dog was just minutes away from being swept out to sea.
Charlie had a video camera with him on his board and filmed his rescue!
Once Charlie had the dog safely on his board he paddled in to shore. He took the small dog to a nearby pub by the ocean front and a local dog warden was contacted. The dog’s name is Molly and she had slipped her collar and bolted before being saved by Charlie two days later. Happily, she was reunited with her family!
