It was a case of Life imitating Art, when Dafna Ben Nun snapped a photo of a baboon and her baby that bears more than a passing resemblance to a famous scene in Disney’s Lion King.
Photographer Dafna Ben Nun was photographing animals in Zimbabwe when she saw the mother baboon lifting her baby to the sky.
“I couldn’t believe it when I saw an adult baboon holding a baby, looking exactly like Simba in the Lion King,” she said.
She is referring to the iconic scene in The Lion King, when baby Simba is lifted into the air by Rafiki, a baboon.

When compared side by side, the real-life photo certainly does look a lot like the cartoon version. Dafne shared the picture on Facebook along with other photos of her trip to Africa.
