Celeste the rescue dog is getting used to life in her new home after she was adopted from a shelter in Indiana. Recently Celeste was introduced to the neighboring dog and the pair reacted like they knew each other. After Celeste’s mom, Michelle (TikTokker @goosegooseduckling), asked the neighbors about their dog, they discovered that the dog was adopted from the same shelter!

Michelle wrote on TikTok, “What a small world! Today we found out that our next door neighbor’s dog was adopted from the same shelter, nearly 2 hours away from where we live. They were both rescued as young pups and each spent 9 months at the shelter…with a 6 month overlap. This was their first time seeing each other since being adopted.” She shared an adorable video of the two dogs getting reacquainted, which you can watch below:

“They were instant friends,” Michelle added. “I think they remember each other.” It’s pretty obvious the two dogs do remember each other from their affectionate game of tag to the big smiles on their faces!

Michelle confirmed with the animal shelter that Celeste and her friend were pals during their stay. “We found out when talking to our neighbors, then confirming with the shelter’s owner. It’s a small rescue in the middle of nowhere IN,” she wrote. She revealed the two dogs were apart for about three months.
Michelle shared another video of the pair and wrote, “Still can’t believe that our neighbors dog was with our dog at a shelter hours away from where we live. I was skeptical about them remembering each other but the difference is night and day!” She compared Celeste meeting a dog she doesn’t know at the dog park with the neighbor.
