Of late, bus drivers have been acting like heroes. Just last week, a California bus driver stopped a child abduction in progress. Then just a few days ago, a school bus driver in North Carolina, stopped two heavily-armed suspects with evil intentions from entering an elementary school!
Alice Bradley pulled in to the parking lot at South Macon Elementary School to pick up her school bus when a strange couple appeared in front of her. She was shocked when the man pointed a gun directly at her.
Alice was terrified and she thought to herself “Lord, he’s going to shoot me.” But she immediately thought of the kids and floored her car’s gas pedal and sped right towards the suspects. Fortunately, the man didn’t fire at her. According to Alice, he just walked away.
Police later arrested the couple and they said that the pair had admitted they had been armed with multiple guns and were planning on shooting students and teachers at the school. Their plan, however, was thwarted by Alice.
““I thought of the kids,” Alice told WLOS. “Everybody says I’m a hero, I’m not a hero. I just reacted, like anybody else would, I guess. I was real nervous. I always thought I was a tough woman, but this really scared me.”
I don’t know of many people that can overcome their fear and act like she did. Her bravery and quick-thinking undoubtedly saved lives!
Share Alice’s heroism with your friends and family!
