A small Pittie mix named Arnold was brought to the Michigan Animal Rescue League after being picked up as a stray. Likely abandoned by a backyard breeder because of his health issues, Arnold instantly won the hearts of the staff with his adorable and funny personality.
Despite his issues, Arnold doesn’t let them dampen his positive outlook, curiosity, or quirky nature. These traits were on full display when the rescue shared videos of Arnold and his hilarious interactions with a doggy door.

Arnold had moved to a new kennel equipped with a plastic flap door, allowing him to move in and out. However, when he first encountered the flap, he seemed utterly baffled.

Tommy Sanfilippo, the content coordinator at the rescue, stepped in to help Arnold understand how the flap worked, even lifting it for him to demonstrate.
The next day, Arnold decided he had his own plan for the doggy door: to demolish it! Thus began his hilarious “feud” with the flap.

After posting the videos of Arnold’s antics, the shelter was flooded with interest from potential adopters, receiving over 120 applications so far. Arnold’s irresistible charm didn’t stop there—another video of him adorably snorting as he enjoyed his Thanksgiving dinner further endeared him to fans.

This sweet pup will no doubt soon be ready to walk out of the shelter and into his forever home, leaving his feud with the doggy door behind.
