Dog Rescue Shelter Mladenovac in Serbia rescues many homeless dogs they find left on the roadside or wandering alone in the fields. Sometimes they find pregnant dogs in the bushes. Recently, however, the shelter dogs paid it forward by helping the shelter save some puppies abandoned on the road.

The dogs in the shelter were barking very loudly, so they went to check out the front to see what was going on, explains Dog Rescue Shelter Mladenovac’s founder. That’s when he heard some “yipping’ in the grass next to the shelter.

They went over to investigate and after digging through the long grass they found several puppies! When they reviewed the security footage from the camera out front of their shelter they could see the puppies running on the road and were shocked to see them narrowly avoiding being hit by a car and a bus. So frightening to watch! Even more alarming was that no one stopped to help the pups.
The four puppies ran together along the road and can be seen making their way towards the shelter. They must have been drawn to the sounds of barking from the shelter dogs!
The two month old puppies are now safe and their rescuers will do their best to find forever homes for them all.
