A group of students working together helped save a dog stuck in a canal. Jack Spencer Furmston and Ben Camphor were walking home in Manchester, England when they saw the dog in the water and worried people not knowing what to do. The students from Manchester Metropolitan University immediately sprung into action.
“Everyone was panicking,” Ben later said of the scene. “I couldn’t let that dog down and not help, so I put my jumper down and sprung into action, climbing down first.”
Others joined Ben’s rescue effort and grabbed hold of his legs to lower him down to the dog. Ben manages to grab the dog by the collar and the pair are pulled back up.
Another passerby, Dabhidh MchicEamailinn, captured the moment and shared the video to Twitter.
