British long-distance swimmer Adam Walker had the most amazing experience while swimming in New Zealand’s Cook Straight!
While swimming, he noticed a great white shark beneath him, but moments later, a pod of dolphins surrounded him and escorted him safely through the waters until the shark left. The dolphins stayed with Adam for more than an hour and playfully swam close enough for him to touch them!
Afterwards he wrote, “I’d like to think they were protecting me and guiding me home!!!” What a fantastic experience! What makes it cooler is that Adam was swimming to help dolphins! He was swimming to raise funds for the nonprofit Whale and Dolphin Conservation!
Share Adam’s amazing dolphin encounter with your friends and family!
