Anastasia Tiurina may only be 7 years old, but the musical prodigy’s talent and love of performance shines as brightly as a seasoned musician.
The young girl from Russia is spotlighted in her performance with the National Academic Orchestra of Russian Folk Instruments. Strumming the Russian balalaika – a triangular mandolin-like instrument with three strings – Anastasia leads the orchestra in the rousing musical variation of Alexander Shalov’s Russian folk song ‘Valenki’.
Smiling generously at her different accompanists and the conductor, Anastasia is still fully absorbed in the music deftly plucking at the strings. She appears very happy and relaxed on the stage, performing with a patience and ease that is sure to guarantee her a lustrous future in music!
